Around 1300 boys and girls aged 5-18 attend Dollar Academy. Our Prep, Junior and Senior Schools, along with all of our facilities, are located in a single, stunning 70 acre campus.

Art

Modern Languages

At Dollar, we are proud to offer teaching in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin. Our Modern Languages Department teaches pupils from the Prep School through to Advanced Higher and we also offer a range of trips and exchanges throughout the academic year – all which undoubtedly contribute to the exceptional exam results our pupils consistently achieve.

Music

Dollar Academy is located in a stunning 70 acre campus in the picturesque market town of Dollar, at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Central Scotland. Whilst we may call the green open spaces of Dollar home, the school is under an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. We would be delighted to welcome you to our school, either virtually or in person.

Meet our
Admissions Team

Our welcoming Admissions Team, led by Mrs Katharine Hall (Day Registrar) and Ms Elaine Gallagher (Boarding Registrar), will provide guidance on how to apply and answer any questions you may have. They can arrange for you to meet with our Rector or Mrs Morrison, Head of the Prep and Junior School, have a tour of the campus, visit the Boarding Houses and meet with our Houseparents.

To make the application official, you’ll need to fill in our ‘Application for Enrolment’ form, with the £60 registration fee and supporting documents attached. Our Entrance Assessments and interviews take place in January each year, however these can be arranged at other times our Admissions Team will be happy to discuss this with you.

 

Following an entrance assessment/interview, the Rector will confirm in writing if a place is available to offer. There will then be a contract to complete and a returnable deposit of £500 for day pupils and £1500 for boarding pupils.
