Dollar Pupils Star in Spectacular Senior School Musical, “Chicago”

Razzle Dazzle was the order of the night at the Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline last week, as the Bicentenary moved to its close with four outstanding performances of “Chicago” [The High School Edition].

Once again, Dollar pupils amazed audiences with the quality of this year’s Senior School musical. The show is famed for its lead female roles and Olivia (Roxie) and Nadia (Velma) did not disappoint. Both separately and apart, they represented the highest standards of performance skills. Elliot was cool and suave as Billy Flinn, while Gabby was equally impressive as the formidable Mama. Alex gave a mature and confident performance as Amos Hart whilst Aidan had the audiences in stiches with his unique portrayal of Mary Sunshine!

The lead characters were supported by a troupe of talented dancers and wider ensemble of chorus members who amongst them made some unforgettable scenes across the broad Alhambra stage.

Huge credit goes to the visionary team of David Christie (Musical Director), Jackie Smith (Director) and Sarah Menzies (Choreographer), for bringing the very best out of the (admittedly already pretty talented) Dollar pupils.
