Dollar pupils are successful in recent Equestrian competition

On 24 November, Dollar Academy’s Equestrian teams competed in the Strathallan Schools show, which was held at Howe Equestrian Centre.

Dollar pupils performed really well in a number of classes. Our team in the 55cm class, consisting of Chloe (FI), Fiona (FI), Isla K (J1) and Isla T (FII),  placed 2nd overall, with Isla T gaining an individual 1st place – a fantastic achievement.

Two teams of four riders entered the 70cm class competition. The team of Isla K, Olivia (FIII), Jessica (J2) and Fiona came in 4th place, with pupils Molly (FII), Laurie (FI), Isla T and Sophie (FIV) also competing.

The 85cm class showed the highest number of team entries from competing schools and our pupils performed brilliantly. Ferne (FIII), Aoiffe (FIII), Laurie and Evie (FII) placed 4th, whilst Ester (FI), Jessica, Rachel (FIV) and Olivia placed 5th. Ferne, in particular, rode with real speed and gained an individual 4th place in this highly competitive class.

The 1m class – which was the final competition of the day – saw Evie, Aoiffe, Rachel and Ferne all perform really well, despite the challenging course. They placed 5th overall.

Well done to all the pupils who took part in this competition.
