Heyworth House, which can accommodate up to 24 girls, is a beautifully refurbished house that offers an outstanding environment in which to live and work.
Located at the edge of the school campus, the girls in Heyworth benefit from their close proximity to the facilities on offer at the school and the opportunity to frequent the lovely tea rooms, cafés and small shops nearby.
This boarding house offers a very modern living environment, with living rooms, computer suite, a dining kitchen and a mix of single and double bedrooms. The boarding house also has a computer suite with high speed internet access and Skype facility for staying in touch with relatives abroad and there is full access to wifi throughout the house.
This is is a very friendly boarding house and the girls of all ages get on well in an environment of interdependence, understanding, mutual respect and a keen understanding of the strengths of those around them.
The Houseparents, Mr and Mrs Duncan, live in the house with their own young children and their presence creates a real sense of a very large and happy family home. Mr Duncan teaches in the History and Modern studies department and in the Classics department at Dollar Academy, and is well known throughout the school.
