Fees and Financial Assistance

Our annual fees for session 2017/18 are as follows:

Prep School

Tuition fees:                                        £9,414   
Full boarding including tuition:              £25,956
Weekly boarding including tuition:        £24,363

Junior School

Tuition fees:                                      £10,818
Full boarding including tuition:             £27,360
Weekly boarding including tuition:       £25,767

Senior School  

Tuition fees:                                      £12,591
Full boarding including tuition:             £29,133
Weekly boarding including tuition:       £27,540

All school fees are inclusive of text books and examination fees.
Boarding fees include all meals, laundry and cleaning.

Other Costs

  • The 'acceptance of place' deposit is £500 for day pupils and £1,500 for boarders
  • Music Tuition is £17.50 per lesson
  • Dancing Tuition is £30 per term
  • Piping and Drumming Tuition is £200 per term
  • Shooting Tuition is £50 per term
  • CCF is £65 per session
  • School lunches are £3.30 for a three-course meal

Payment of School Fees from UK Bank Accounts 

We request that all parents with UK bank accounts pay fees by direct debit.

Parents who are unable to pay by direct debit, for whatever reason, MUST pay fees in full by cheque or bank transfer to have cleared by, or on, the first day of the term for which they are due.

Direct debit payments entail 9 monthly instalments (3 per term). Additional charges, e.g. Dancing Tuition or expenditure incurred by boarders, will be debited in full with the first payment of each term. Direct debit instalments will be charged as follows:

AUTUMN TERM 2017:  6 September, 6 October and 6 November 2017
SPRING TERM 2018:     10 January, 6 February and 6 March 2018
SUMMER TERM 2018:  6 April, 7 May and 6 June 2018

Full details about fees and payments, together with direct debit mandate forms, will be mailed to all parents in June each year.

Overseas Payments

Parents with overseas bank account should transfer funds to the Academy.  Please contact the Bursar’s Office to obtain our bank details.


Fee accounts: A fee account, detailing all charges, will be sent out prior to the beginning of each term.

Interest charges: Interest of 2% per month will be charged on all outstanding balances, and parents should be aware that, depending on the circumstances, should they regularly default on direct debit payments they may be required to leave the scheme and pay fees in full by the start of each term.

Notice of withdrawal: In accordance with the Parent-Academy Contract a full term’s written notice of the withdrawal of a pupil is required, failing which one term’s fees in lieu of notice will be charged for both tuition and boarding, as appropriate.

If, at any point, parents need to stop paying fees by direct debit, the Bursar’s Office must be notified at least 7 days before the next payment is due.

Academic and Travel Scholarships
