Form I and II Choir

All pupils in Forms I and II have the opportunity to sing a variety of music from classical to popular.  Term I will concentrate on music for the Christmas Concert in the Usher Hall, where the choir will sing on stage with the senior choirs.  During Term II, the choir will work towards the March concert in the School Auditorium.

All pupils will benefit from vocal warm-ups and technique development as well as extending their choral repertoire. They will experience the excitement of performing in live situations and build their confidence in vocal singing.

Senior Mixed Voice Choir

Mixed Voice Choir gives pupilsnull in Forms III to VI the opportunity to sing in a large choir. There is no audition necessary and everyone can take part.  The ability to read music is not essential and a warm welcome is extended to all who share a love of choral singing. We tackle a wide variety of repertoire including classical, pop and folk songs.  The Choir performs in the annual Christmas Concert at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and in the March Choral Concert at school.  Recent performances have included the Scottish premiere of Bob Chilcott’s Christmas Night and Howard Blake’s The Snowman, and also the first UK school performance of Stella Natalis by Karl Jenkins.

Wednesday, 3:30pm-4:30pm (full choir), School Auditorium

Male Voice Choir, Wednesday, 4.30pm - 5.00pm
