SQA & Prelims
Like most schools in Scotland, Dollar Academy follows the Scottish Curriculum, administered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). These qualifications are internationally recognised and are highly valued by universities across the UK and Europe.
Further information on the structure and content of the National Assessments can be found on the SQA website.
The SQA exam results are received in early August. Senior staff at Dollar Academy are available at this time to discuss the possibility of marking reviews and any implications for University entrance.

Individual Assessment Arrangements (IAA)
Dollar Academy adheres to the assessment guidelines published by SQA.
For pupils who are defined as disabled under the provisions of the Equality Act 2010, an assessment arrangement might be the ‘reasonable adjustment’ required to compensate for a substantial disadvantage, but there may be other adjustments that need to be made in order to meet their individual needs. Nevertheless, all pupils must be assessed against the published assessment criteria which state the standards for a Unit or Course.
